
NEW HAVEN, CT — A 43-year-old man West Haven man died after being ejected from a boat in New Haven Harbor Saturday night after the boat hit an object.
The man was operating a 24-foot Sweaswirl vessel accompanied by a 47-year-old man from Guilford, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Both men were ejected from the vessel and the passenger swam to shore and radioed for help. Both were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital and the operator was pronounced dead.
