Man Shot, Killed In New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man was shot and killed Wednesday night in New Haven. Police said they responded to a report of gunfire on on Exchange Street between Ferry Street and East Pearl Street in the Fair Haven neighborhood at 11:25 p.m.

Police searched the area and found a man who had suffered a gunshot wound on the front porch of an Exchange Street home.

New Haven Fire and American Medical Response arrived to treat the victim. Medical responders pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Officers held a crime scene during the overnight and into the morning.
