Man Shot, Killed In New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man shot Jan. 25 has died, and police are investigating his death as a homicide. Joseph Mattei, 29, was shot on Plymouth Street at Lamberton Street just after 8:30 p.m.

Mattei and his car had been struck by gunfire. An ambulance transported him to the hospital where he was listed in extremely critical condition until his death Tuesday.
