Man Shot In New Haven Home Invasion

A man was shot and suffered life-threatening injuries in a home invasion early Monday morning.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating following a home invasion and shooting in Fair Haven early Monday morning. Police said the incident was reported around 1:15 a.m.

The 911 caller said a person had been shot inside a house on James Street between Exchange Street and Wolcott Street.

Inside a second-floor bedroom, a 28-year-old man had been shot in the abdomen. An ambulance transported the victim with life-threatening injuries to Yale New Haven Hospital. Following emergency surgery, the victim was listed in critical condition.
