Update: Missing Delaware Teen Found In New Haven

High school senior Breion Dickinson packed a bag, left a "cryptic message" and his home in Delaware took train to NYC then New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Update: The high schooler from Delaware, reported missing by his family, who they said inexplicably ended up in New Haven, was found safe, his aunt told Patch.

A Delaware teen packed a bag, left a "cryptic" message and left his home in the middle of the night without word or any "warning signs" and took Amtrak to New York City and then, inexplicably, the family says, on to New Haven where he was last seen.

Breion Dickinson is a high school senior, 6’2” tall and when last seen, was wearing a red white and blue Tommy Hilfiger bubble jacket, white slides, and has a blue/gold Nautica suitcase, police told his family.

"My nephew is missing. We are extremely concerned and doing everything we can to find him, and believe he’s currently in New Haven (we don’t know why). He left in the middle of the night and left a cryptic message with no details about where he was going," Ashley Walter tweeted and shared with Patch.

She noted that Dickinson "didn’t seem upset, and we saw no warnings that he was planning to do this. " She said that he was last seen at Union Station after arriving in New Haven via Amtrak.

"We just want him home safe," Walter told Patch.

Walter said anyone in the New Haven area that sees him should contact the Delaware State Police at (302) 697-4454.

New Haven police spokesperson Officer Scott Shumway said local police stand ready to help.

"The New Haven Police have not been contacted by the Delaware State Police at this point, however we are always ready to help any of our law enforcement partners," he said.
