Monday Morning, Moped Operator Suffered Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Struck In Fair Haven: NHPD
At 9:45 a.m. Monday, called to Grand Avenue and Ferry Street, cops found the moped operator "partially under a blue Infiniti SUV:" NHPD

NEW HAVEN, CT—At around 9:45 a.m. Monday, police were called to Grand Avenue and Ferry Street for a report of a moped rider struck, spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart said.
When officers arrived, they found a victim was "partially under a blue Infiniti SUV," he said.
The victim, the moped operator, was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where his injuries were determined to be life-threatening, Bruckhart said.

The person's identity has not yet been confirmed, he said.
"The initial investigation indicates the moped was traveling on Grand Avenue toward the bridge when a vehicle turned from Grand Avenue into a driveway in front of him," Bruckhart said.

The vehicle remained on scene, he added.
