Naked Man's Night Gets Weirder After Car Mysteriously Found in New Haven Water: PD
Police suspected the man was intoxicated and sent him to the hospital. He later found out his car was submerged.

NEW HAVEN, CT —A naked and suspected intoxicated Manchester man who was found at a West Haven bar was surprised to learn that his car ended up submerged in New Haven, according to police.
The man’s car was found submerged in Long Island Sound Tuesday morning. It was empty and the only thing suspicious was its location in the water, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
The man and his wife were found at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

“He’d been sent there after West Haven Police were dispatched to Pete’s Bar & Lounge on Captain Thomas Boulevard and found him naked and throwing things around,” Hartman said. “WHPD had sent him to the hospital to recover from what was likely an over consumption of alcohol.”
He told police he had left his car at the bar. Police found his story believable. It’s not known who took his vehicle.

“ What is known, is it wasn’t its owner that tested its amphibious ability,” Hartman said.
