New Haven 16-Year-Old Shot On Foxon St. In Stable Condition: PD

NEW HAVEN, CT — A Friday night shooting on Foxon Street left a 16-year-old New Haven boy hospitalized in stable condition, police said.

Just before 8 p.m., the teen was shot between Quinnipiac Avenue and Essex Street, according to police spokesperson Scott Shumway.

Police arrived, and the teen was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. Shumway said "ballistic evidence," meaning bullets, were found.

The Bureau of Identification responded to process the scene and the Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation, Shumway said.
