New Haven 19-Year-Old Shot Tuesday Night, Dropped Off At Hospital: PD
At midnight, gunfire rang out on Maple Street, police said, and 10 minutes later, the victim was taken in a private car to the hospital.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Just before midnight Tuesday, police got a Shotspotter alert of gunfire on Maple Street, between Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and Brownell Street, according to New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumway.
Around 10 minutes later, Shumway said, Yale New Haven Hospital called police to report that a 19-year-old New Haven man, who had been struck by gunfire, was dropped off at the hospital by private car. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and listed in stable condition.
The Bureau of Identification collected ballistic evidence from Maple Street, Shumway said, adding detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
