New Haven Art Teacher 'Brings An Endless Supply Of Sunshine'

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

If there’s ever been a superteacher in our midst, Samara is the one wearing the cape (probably while crafting an exquisite piece of art or snapping the perfect photo). She’s our go-to Art and Digital Photography teacher and the miracle worker behind the Yearbook Club, effortlessly handling everything with grace and humor. When it comes to her students, Samara is always on her A-game. She goes above and beyond to ensure that they not only succeed but also thrive creatively. I’ve lost count of the evenings she's spent tirelessly volunteering, offering extra help, or chaperoning pretty much any field trip she could. I'm starting to think she might have a secret clone! Her knack for combining a fantastic sense of humor with an unwavering dedication makes her a joy to work with. Whether she’s cracking jokes with faculty or painting a vibrant mural with her students, Samara has a unique way of making everyone around her smile. It's like she brings an endless supply of sunshine to even the cloudiest days. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Samara's nurturing nature has earned her the title of “Best Mama” among her students. She offers a perfect blend of support, encouragement, and a good laugh when needed. Her students (and colleagues) are incredibly lucky to have such a dynamic and inspiring role model. Samara Vaiuso is undoubtedly one of the gems of our school. Her dedication, creativity, and humor make her an irreplaceable part of our team. Anyone who knows her can attest to the magic she brings to everything she does. Thank you for considering this glowing extraordinary teacher and all-around fantastic human being.
