New Haven Bar's Liquor License Suspended Due To Violations, State Says

A downtown New Haven bar will have its liquor license suspended and pay a fine due to multiple violations, according to a state agency.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven bar has had its liquor license suspended and will pay a fine due to multiple violations, according to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Commission.

144 Temple has paid a $13,000 fine and its license suspended on the following dates: Jan 16 to 18, Jan. 22 to 25, Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, Feb. 6 to 8, and Feb. 13.

The bar is described as "New Haven's #1 Nightlife Destination" on its Instagram page.

144 Temple had violations in the following areas, the Liquor Control Commission said: conduct of permit premises-unlawful conduct-smoking; conduct of permit premises, permittee strictly accountable; daily records, sale to minor, state from purchaser as to age, and minor in barroom.
