New Haven Firefighter Terminated By Board

NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven firefighter has been terminated though the reason for his firing has not been released, according to The New Haven Register. The Board of Fire Commissioners voted last week to terminate Marcos Demelo but has not taken action involving a second firefighter.

Demelo was arrested July 3, 2019, in Branford in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident. The case is pending and Demelo has pleaded not guilty to those charges, The Register reported.
