
NEW HAVEN, CT — A 44-year-old city man is dead after being shot on Dorman Street Saturday evening, according to police.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter system activation shortly before 7 p.m. They found Samuel Hook with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was declared dead shortly after arriving, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
