New Haven Man, 18, Injured In Shooting: Police
The man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for his injuries, police said.
NEW HAVEN, CT — An 18-year-old New Haven man was injured in a shooting this week, prompting an investigation by New Haven police, authorities said in a statement.
According to police, officers were alerted to the shooting shortly after 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Police found the victim on Read Street between Newhall and Sheppard streets, authorities said.
The victim was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He is listed in stable condition, police said.

New Haven detectives from the city's Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
