New Haven Man, 29, And Hamden Man, 40, Were Stabbed Wednesday: Police

Both men were dropped off in a private car at the hospital, police said, adding that the stabbings happened on Grand Avenue Wednesday night.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 40-year-old Hamden man and a 29-year-old man from New Haven, were stabbed Wednesday night, police said.

Just before 8:30 p.m., police got a call from Yale New Haven Hospital that the two were dropped off by a private car with stab wounds, police spokesperson Scott Shumway.

The Hamden man was treated for life-threatening injuries, and the New Haven man suffered non-life threatening injuries. Shumway said. They both are listed in stable condition, he added.

Patrol officers found the crime scene on Grand Avenue, between Franklin and Hamilton streets, Shumway said. The Bureau of Identification responded and processed the scene. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
