New Haven Man, 40, Sentenced To 40 Years In Prison For 2022 Fair Haven Fatal Shooting: Prosecutor

NEW HAVEN, CT—Miguel Reynoso, 40, of New Haven, was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the 2022 shooting death of Ernie Negroni Feliciano, 27, of New Haven, according to New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr.

Reynoso's prison term will be suspended after 28 years served and include five years of probation, Doyle said.

On June 9, Reynoso pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter with a firearm. Numerous family members of the victim were present for the sentencing hearing and for previous court appearances, Doyle said.

According to Doyle, evidence showed that Reynoso and the victim had been involved in an ongoing dispute.

"On the evening of December 30, 2022, Reynoso saw the victim sitting in a car with friends outside an apartment complex on Saltonstall Avenue in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven," Doyle said. "He then parked a short distance away, got out of his vehicle, took cover behind a sign, and fired at the victim, striking him in the head and killing him."

Doyle extended his "condolences to the family of Ernie Negroni Feliciano for their loss."
