UPDATE: New Haven Man, 42, Shot, Killed Thursday Morning Identified: NHPD
Called to Derby Avenue at 10:30 a.m., PD said the man suffered critical injuries, but an hour later: "This is now a homicide investigation."
NEW HAVEN, CT — "This is now a homicide investigation," police said at 11:37 a.m.
Just before 5 p.m., police identified the victim as Ichon Ringwood.

New Haven police responded to the 100-block section of Derby Avenue for a gunshot victim, the department posted to "X," Thursday morning.
Police spokesperson Offcier Christian Bruckhart said the call came in at 10:29 a.m.

The victim is a 42-year-old New Haven man whose injuries are "critical/life-threatening," police said.
