New Haven Man Assaults Woman Inside Beth-El Center: Milford Police
Police responded to the center on a domestic violence complaint on Sunday.

MILFORD, CT — Police said a man is accused of choking and assaulting a woman inside the Beth-El Center in Milford on Sunday. At 2:20 a.m. Sunday officers responded to the Beth-El Center on a report of a possible domestic violence incident, police said.
Investigation led to the arrest of Stephen Rattley, 28, of Maltby Place in New Haven, who is accused of engaging in a physical altercation with a female inside of the center and at one point placing his hands around the victim's throat, restricting airflow, police said.
Rattley was located a short while later by officers searching the area, police said. He is charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation. He was given a court date of April 17.
