New Haven Man Found Guilty of Murdering Teen

The man was found guilty of killing a teen and shooting two others in 2014. It's believed the teen wasn't the intended target.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Lamont Edwards was found guilty of shooting Jacob Craggett, 15, to death and wounding two others during a 2014 shooting.

The shooting happened on Vernon Street and Davenport Avenue Aug. 8. Edwards walked up to a car and fired, hitting three occupants, according to the New Haven Register. Another unidentified gunman fired from the other side of the car.

It's believed the driver Timothy Jones, 22, was the intended target and Craggett was killed while he tried to help his older brother.
