New Haven Man Gets Federal Prison Time For Robbery
He pistol-whipped a robbery victim in the face.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A city man was sentenced to nine years in prison for robbery and gun offenses.
The investigation centered around a shooting on Ferry Street on June 30, 2016 where two victims were injured. One victim was shot by Thomas Johnson and the other was struck by Shaquille Richardson, 25, in the face with a gun, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut. They attacked the victims in an effort to steal marijuana and money as they exited a convenience store.
Richardson was sentenced Tuesday for his role in the incident while Johnson was sentenced to 13 years.

Richardson pleaded guilty in January to one count of Hobbs Act Robbery and one count of carrying a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
