New Haven Man Held Without Bail On Gun Charges
A New Haven man accused of having gang ties is being held without bond.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man is being held without bond on gun charges, as prosecutors claim he was involved in an altercation prior to the homicide of Dayshon Smith, according to The New Haven Register. Denzel Suggs, 26, was charged at the federal level with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is also facing state charges.
Prosecutors argued that Suggs is an ongoing flight risk and could pose a risk to the community if released, The Register reported. He was out on bond Aug. 15 when prosecutors claim that he fired a gun during an argument at a barbecue.
