New Haven Man Sentenced for Oxycodone Pill Scheme
Members of the conspiracy were able to fraudulently obtain more than 80,000 pills and sell them for between $20 and $30 each.

NEW HAVEN, CT—City man Alejandrino DeJesus, 38, aka "Baby Boo" was sentenced to 11 years in prison for his role in a scheme to obtain fake oxycodone prescriptions.
Law enforcement began investigating an oxycodone drug ring in the greater New Haven area in 2012. Members of the organization obtained personal identifying information of medical practitioners and used the information to create false prescriptions, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office.
Conspiracy members also purchased legitimate prescriptions for oxycodone from individuals.

Information from more than 50 doctors and medical professionals was used to obtained more than 80,000 oxycodone pills. Pills were sold for between $20 and $30 per 30 mg pill.
DeJesus was described as a key member of the organization who recruited and transported runners to fill fake scripts. He also distributed the pills, heroin and cocaine.

A total of 11 people were charged as part of the conspiracy.
DeJesus has multiple felony firearms-related convictions.
