
NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating a Wednesday morning shooting that left a 19-year-old injured.
Police were called to Chapel Street between Orchard and Kensington Streets around 11:45 a.m. for reported gunfire, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
The victim's injuries aren't life-threatening.

"There is no description available for his assailant or any possibly involved vehicle," Hartman said. "Detectives are at the scene collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses. Anyone with information on this crime is urged to phone detectives at 203-946-6304. Calls may be made anonymously."
