NEW HAVEN, CT — A bullet somehow managed to go through the back of a man's head and exit through the top without hitting his skull or brain, according to police.
A 37-year-old man was shot Dec. 18 around 10 p.m., said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman. The man told police he was with friends in the area of Howard Avenue and First Street and planned to head downtown.
"He said he remembered being pushed by one of the men he was with, followed by hearing a gunshot," Hartman said. "He said he didn’t realize he’d been hit until a woman told him."
