New Haven PD Issues Warning After 'White Powder' Calls
The incidents are potentially connected to similar scares in other parts of Connecticut.

NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven Police are investigating four hoax bomb threats and two "white powder" calls that occurred at office buildings downtown.
"As this MAY be connected to similar investigations in other municipalities in the state, we are heeding the directive from our partners in law enforcement, by not commenting further at this time on the arrest of Gary Joseph Gravelle," said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
Gravelle was arrested on a federal probation violation charge and is being federally investigated as a potential suspect linked to suspicious package scares in Hartford Wednesday, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. The investigation is multi-jurisdictional. To sign up for New Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.
