Acting Police Chief Renee Dominguez says she's OK after a speeding driver crashed into her car.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Acting Police Chief Renee Dominguez says she's OK after a speeding driver crashed into her car, then the suspect led police on a foot chase, according to The New Haven Independent. The wreck occurred Monday afternoon when Dominguez was heading north on State Street and a driver ran a red light, then struck her car.

The man got out of the car and ran. Police followed and found the man in an outdoor parking lot at the Knights of Columbus Museum. He was charged with multiple driving and drug-related offenses, according to The New Haven Independent.
