New Haven Police Collect Diapers

The police department helped collect diapers for those in need.

NEW HAVEN, CT - From New Haven Police Department: During the month of March, the New Haven Police Department has participated in a diaper collection drive. The department has worked in partnership with Bridgeport Parole and Community Services, The New Haven Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, and Delta Foundation of Greater New Haven. The diaper drive will benefit the Diaper Bank of Connecticut - 370 State Street, North Haven and Christian Community Action Incorporated – 168 Davenport Avenue, New Haven.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, New Haven Police Department School Resource Officers (SROs) will deliver diapers via a police caravan to the Diaper Bank. The delivery caravan will depart One Union Avenue, New Haven at 4:00 p.m.

The donation/drop off locations have been the following:
  • New Haven Police Department at 1 Union Avenue, New Haven.
  • Bridgeport Parole and Community Services at 1052 North Avenue, Bridgeport.
  • Gateway Center New Haven Board of Education at 54 Meadow Street.
