Cops Investigate New Haven's 1st Homicide Of 2022
The shooting victim, dropped off in a private car at the hospital in the pre-dawn hours Thursday, was pronounced dead, police said.
NEW HAVEN, CT —At 3:30 in the morning Thursday, police were called to Yale New Haven Hospital after a person was dropped off in a private car, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
The gunshot victim, who police have not yet identified, was treated for life-threatening injuries, but was then pronounced dead at the hospital, police spokesperson Scott Shumway said.
This is New Haven's first homicide of 2022.

Detectives from the New Haven Police Department Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
