New Haven Police Investigate Valley Street Shooting

Late Monday afternoon, a 32-year-old New Haven man was shot on Valley Street between Mountain Road and Harper Avenue, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Late Monday afternoon, police got 911 calls about a shooting on Valley Street. Just before 5 p.m., officers arrived to the location between Mountain Road and Harper Avenue to find a 32-year-old New Haven man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for his wounds and listed in stable condition, according to police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway.

Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with investigators contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
