New Haven Police Investigate Weekend Shooting, Stabbing
In the pre-dawn hours Saturday, a 32-year-old New Haven man was shot and on Sunday, a 43-year-old New Haven man was stabbed, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Just before 4 a.m. Saturday, a 32-year-old New Haven man walked into Yale New Haven Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. The man was shot on Spring Street, between Dewitt and Button streets, according to New Haven police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway. The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and listed in stable condition.
On Sunday at 10 a.m., police got calls that a man had been stabbed on Hurlburt Street, between Spring Street and Washington Avenue, police said. When police got there, they found a 43-year-old New Haven man suffering from stab wounds, according to Shumway.
The stabbing victim was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Shumway said.
