New Haven Police Investigating Friday Pre-Dawn Shooting
A 41-year-old New Haven, shot on Rosette Street at 5:30 a.m., is listed in stable condition after suffering gunshot wounds, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Before dawn Friday, shots rang out on Rosette Street in New Haven, leaving a 41-year-old hospitalized with gunshot wounds, police said.
At 5:30 a.m., police got a 911 call that a man had been shot on the street between Howard Avenue and Dewitt Street, according to New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumway. Officers found the New Haven man struck by gunfire, he said. Taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, he's listed in stable condition.
The police Bureau of Identification responded to the crime scene and collected ballistic evidence, Shumway said, adding detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
