NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven police Officer Lindsey Nesto was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging her with second-degree breach of peace for an incident that occurred in Wallingford Oct. 31, according to police spokesperson Officer Scott Shumway.

Shumway said Nesto is accused of being involved in an incident where a "verbal altercation occurred between her and three juveniles outside a Wallingford home." He said she's "accused of using inappropriate and alarming language towards the juveniles."

Nesto was off duty at the time of the incident and was not acting in her capacity as an officer, he said.

New Haven Chief of Police Karl Jacobson has placed her on administrative duty pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation, Shumway said.
