New Haven Police Officer Spreads Conspiracy Theories: Report

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police officer Jason Bandy's podcast, "For the Love," broadcasts the views of QAnon, including a wide range of conspiracy theories ranging on everything from the "man-made" origins of the coronavirus to the supposed influence of the Illuminati, The New Haven Independent reported. The FBI labeled QAnon as an extremist group in 2019.

Bandy purports the false theory that the COVID-19 pandemic was developed as a biochemical weapon in an effort to spread government control, according to The Independent.

The police department began investigating Bandy last month after he posted extreme right-wing material on social media, according to The New Haven Register.
