New Haven Public Schools Look to Hire More Than 200, Mostly Teachers

The district holds a recruitment fair next Thursday, and while most open jobs are for educators, there's clerical and coaching jobs, too.

NEW HAVEN, CT —New Haven Public Schools has 221 job openings. And while the majority of those are for teachers and other instructional posts, the balance run the gamut from administrative to subs.

Next Thursday, April 28, the district is holding a recruitment fair from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Floyd Little Athletic Center, at 480 Sherman Parkway.

The school district is hiring teachers in most disciplines, including special education, elementary education, mathematics, and English language arts, as well as athletics and instructional coaches.

At the recruitment fair, representatives of the district’s 40 schools and the district administration will be on hand to answer questions and take applications.
