New Haven’s Top Model Search & Fashion Show

From The Shops at Yale: The Shops at Yale and John Casablancas Modeling & Acting Agency of Rocky Hill are holding the 4th Annual Model Search & Fashion Show on Broadway Island on Saturday, June 8 from 1:00 – 5:00pm (rain date is Sunday, June 9). The event will feature mini fashion shows with the latest styles from The Shops at Yale and a model search in front of top Connecticut and New York agencies.

New Haven’s Top Model Search is free and open to the public. The event will take place on Broadway Island across from Apple, J.Crew and Urban Outfitters, located at 56 Broadway in New Haven. Agencies on-site will include John Casablancas of Connecticut, State Management, Fenton Models, BMG, Elite Model Management and NY Models. Men and women ages 4 and older are invited to walk the 32 foot runway as agencies scout for new models to represent. One lucky contestant will receive a modeling contract, a trip to New York City, a high fashion photo shoot, a walk on spot in a TV commercial and $250 in gifts card to L.L.Bean and Lululemon at The Shops at Yale.

The Shops at Yale Fashion Shows will take place at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 with professional models from John Casablancas Modeling and Acting Agency. The models will showcase the latest fashions from J.Crew, L.L.Bean, Urban Outfitters, FatFace, Raggs for Men & Women, idiom Boutique, Yurway Boutique, Neville Wisdom Fashions, Barbour, Lou Lou Boutique and more.

“We are all excited for the 4th Annual Model Search & Fashion Show. The model search is really fun to watch, and the fashion shows will showcase FatFace's wide array of stylish, unique & high-quality fashions, as well as the latest looks from all The Shops at Yale fashion retailers," said Pedro LaBoy, Store Manager, FatFace New Haven. "Guests come to the event from all over Connecticut, and even from Massachusetts and New York. They can sit back with an iced coffee or enjoy lunch al fresco while planning their next outfits."

Contestants are asked to RSVP by June 7, 2019 via The Shops at Yale website theshopsatyale.com/modelsearch. Participation is free. Upon arrival, perspective models will need to complete a registration form in front of The Yale Bookstore (77 Broadway) and have a free head-shot photograph taken before walking the runway as part of the model search. Free parking is available for all model search contestants and spectators at the 150 York Street Garage, only one block from the event. Show your parking ticket from the garage to the staff at The Shops at Yale event tent for a validation stamp.
