New Haven Schools Invites Family Input On School Climate In Survey

"Parent feedback helps us make informed decisions as we strive to provide the best education possible for their children," schools say.

NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven Public Schools is inviting parents to participate in an annual survey on school climate.

"Parent feedback helps us make informed decisions as we strive to provide the best education possible for their children, said Michelle Baker, district school climate and Title IX coordinator. “We are attempting to ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and engaged in their education. With parents’ input, we can identify areas where we are excelling and areas that need improvement.”

The survey takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete and covers a range of topics, including safety and security, teacher-student relationships, school culture, and social-emotional learning.
