NEW HAVEN, CT — The 2023 New Haven Science Fair takes place Tuesday and Wednesday in the Floyd Little Athletic Center at Hillhouse High School. Public viewing of students’ science projects will be Tuesday until 7 p.m. and Wednesday, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m. in the Hillhouse auditorium.

Students who have entries in the fair were interviewed by judges Tuesday.

The goal of the program is to work with children and teachers from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 to help them carry out investigative hands-on science fair projects in order to promote skills in critical thinking, scientific process, and communication. Each year, approximately 8,000 New Haven students participate in the science fair.
