New Haven Sees Uptick In Coronavirus Cases
The city has issued a warning following an increase in COVID-19 cases.
NEW HAVEN, CT — City health officials have issued a warning following an increase in COVID-19 cases, WTNH reported. Previously the city was reporting one or two cases a day, but there have been 36 cases in the last two weeks.
One cluster occurred at a local church, Iglesia Jesus Rey De Gloria, on Grand Avenue. Public health investigators found that church members were inconsistent about wearing masks, and now the church is going online, according to WTNH.
Mayor Justin Elicker called the uptick "very concerning" and urged residents to take precautions such as always wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and washing your hands.
