New Haven Shooting Investigated

A man was injured after a shooting Wednesday afternoon.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man sustained a non-life threatening injury after a shooting that was reported to be on Sherman Parkway.

A motorist stopped a New Haven Police officer Wednesday at 2:22 p.m. to report that his passenger and vehicle were struck by gunfire, said Capt. Anthony Duff, police spokesman.

The victim had an abrasion to his head which was either caused by broken glass or a projectile.

Additional officers and detectives went to Sherman Parkway between Munson and West Division streets to find the crime scene.
