New Haven Shooting Investigated

A victim was shot in the hip, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound after being shot in the area of Dickerman Street Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The shooting was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. The victim arrived in a private vehicle at Yale-New Haven Hospital, said Capt. Anthony Duff, police spokesman.

The shooting took place on Dickerman Street between Sperry and Orchard streets. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 203-946-6304.
