New Haven Students Given Expired String Cheese
Kitchen staff will receive training following the incident.
NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven Public Schools said they will provide additional training for kitchen staff after expired string cheese was distributed to students, WTNH reported. About 12 students were given expired string cheese with an alternative lunch at King-Robinson School.
One student went to the nurse and another went home. No illnesses have been reported, according to WTNH.
The incident is under investigation.
