The man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, just a couple of blocks away, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the hospital called police to report that a second gunshot victim, a 33-year-old Waterbury man, had walked into the hospital. He was also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Shumway said that New Haven police detectives "were able to quickly locate video footage of the shooting and get a description of the suspect, who was located at a house on Howard Avenue. "

The teen, taken into custody without incident, Shumway said, was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, first degree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.
