As they waited for the victim to arrive for a one-on-one identification, one of the alleged crooks, a sixteen year old, from New Haven, owned up that he was the robbery mastermind to a New Haven Police Sergeant. He also had on the victim’s back-pack.

A suspected accomplice, a fifteen year old who claimed he’d been visiting from New York, proclaimed his innocence. The third suspect, Shaka Shaquille McKnight (10-12-1993), of Herbert Street in New Haven, claimed he didn’t know the other two and had nothing to do with the robbery. He’d later admit he was with the other two.

Cops found the gold colored mask nearby. The fifteen year old said it was his.

All three were identified, arrested and charged with first degree robbery, second degree larceny and conspiracy to commit those crimes. This is the sixteen year old’s twelfth arrest since 2014 and the fifteen year old’s second robbery arrest in New Haven since 2016.
