New Haven Woman, 23, Was Shot On Beers Street Overnight, Per Police

NEW HAVEN, CT —Just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, while outside of Yale New Haven Hospital, a 23-year-old New Haven woman told police she'd been shot, a spokesperson said.

Police said the woman was shot on Beers Street, between Chapel Street and Edgewood Avenue, according to officer Scott Shumway.

The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition, he said.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
