New Haven's Apostle Immigrant Services Hosts Open House on Sunday 4/30
New Haven Officials Expected to Join Sr. Mary Ellen Lyons at Reception Highlighting the Work Agency in Fair Haven
Obtaining immigration or citizenship status is life changing, but the process can be challenging and small details can affect the outcome. Apostle Immigrant Services (AIS) of New Haven aims to help people understand the process, options available and work as a team to help people attain their goals.
AIS strives to serve the Greater New Haven and beyond community with kindness and integrity. Apostle's team members, led by Sr. Mary Ellen Burns, work hard to realize its mission of building stronger immigrant communities- one family, one person, at a time.
Sr. Mary Ellen Burns is the first nun to graduate from Yale Law School. She went on to start Apostle Immigrant Services as a nonprofit organization to help new immigrants and refugees with free services to help them become legal in this country and support services.
