New Yale-Themed Hotel Opens In New Haven

The new hotel even has a "pizza phone."

NEW HAVEN, CT — A new Yale-inspired hotel promises a "community centric design" that "immerses you in New Haven culture."

Formerly the Duncan Hotel, Graduate New Haven sits at 1151 Chapel St. The hotel "combines Graduate’s university-inspired design with references to New Haven culture and history," according to a statement.

Guestrooms are decorated in a blue and white Yale-inspired palette and public spaces nod to campus icons, including Handsome Dan and Mory's Cups.

The hotel’s food and beverage offerings include a revamped legendary Chapel Street bar and restaurant, Old Heidelberg, and Graduate essential coffee shop and cafe, Poindexter.

To top off their offerings, Graduate New Haven contains a pizza payphone; simply call up famous local spots Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana and Modern Apizza and receive one of their classic pies right to the hotel.
