Obituary: Anthony "Peachy" Ferraiolo, Jr. (Porto Funeral Homes)

Anthony Ferraiolo Jr., known as “Peachy,” passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2026, at the Mary Wade Facility in New Haven, Connecticut.

Born into a family of twelve children, son of Anthony Ferraiolo Sr. and Madeline Corotenuto Ferraiolo, Anthony’s life was shaped by hard work, loyalty, and deep dedication to family and community. He carried those values with him throughout his life, whether at home or in the many roles he proudly held. Anthony worked with the Town of East Haven Public Works, Blakeslee Construction, and Local 443 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. He was also a partner in Sperry and Barnes, A&P Plumbing and Gaetano’s, and the owner of Park Entrance Restaurant and Ferraiolo Trucking.

Anthony was predeceased by Marie Oniel and Dominica Bova, as well as Mark Albert and James Albert. He is survived by his sister, Mary Nebore; his children and their spouses, Michael and Wendy Ferraiolo, Anthony and Kim Ferraiolo, Verna Stenek, and Debra Purgatore; and his cherished grandchildren Anthony P. Ferraiolo, Michael J. Ferraiolo, Lucian Ferraiolo, Lexi Ferraiolo, Leah Ferraiolo, and his great-grandchild, Brooklyn Ferraiolo.

Peachy will be remembered for his resilience, his dedication to family, and the legacy of love and hard work he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven Friday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Family and friends may call FRIDAY MORNING from 8:30-10:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.
