Obituary: Donald P. Ianniello (Porto Funeral Homes)

Donald P. Ianniello, 88, of Milford passed away June 22, 2026 at Evergreen Woods in North Branford. Husband of the late Helen Breen Ianniello. Beloved father of Gina (James) Donroe of Madison and the late Dr. Michael Ianniello. Cherished grandfather of Alycia (Jason) Stone and Jaime (Steve) Minardi. Loving great grandfather of Jason Stone Jr. and Zoe and Brett Minardi. Caring brother of William (Dolores) Ianniello of Wallingford.

Donald was born in New Haven on May 26, 1938, a son of the late Dominick and Mary Genovese Ianniello. Prior to his retirement he worked for Joseph Cohn & Son, Inc. for 53 years. He was a member of the West Haven Italian American Club and an avid fan of UCONN Women’s Basketball and the New York Yankees. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Monday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Precious Blood Parish at St. Agnes Church in Milford at 10:00. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford.
