Edie, who enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family, served in the Army, and later had a long career working at Stop & Shop.
Edith Lavena (Edie) was born on December 25, 1931 in New Haven, CT a Christmas baby. Edie served in the Army branch of the Military, and later had a long career working at Stop & Shop. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, going to tag sales, and enjoying a nice meal out. She also enjoyed cooking, listening to classic country music and working in her flower garden. Her favorite flowers were daisies. She is survived by her husband, James Lavena Jr., her daughter Susan Lavena, step-daughters Lorene (Lori) Conte-Lavena and Linda Lavena, 9 Grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She comes from a family of 9 sisters and brothers and is survived by her sister Patty. She also had 29 nieces and nephews. She was so loved and will be greatly missed.
