Obituary: Frances M. McCarthy, 99, longtime resident of New Haven
Frances, who passed away just two months shy of her 100th birthday, had worked at the New Haven Savings Bank for over 40 years.

Sunday, August 29, 2021 Frances M. McCarthy longtime resident of New Haven and most recently of Wallingford passed away peacefully at Regency House in Wallingford.
Frances was born in New Haven on October 27, 1921, daughter of the late Jack Smith and Madalyne (Wren) Smith.
Loving mother of George McCarthy and his wife Trisha of Wallingford, Beverly Bentley and her late husband Richard of Old Saybrook and Maureen Kimler and her husband Paul of Land O Lakes, FL. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister of the late, Madeline Boucher, Helen Sweeney and Robert Smith, also predeceased by George W. McCarthy.
Before retirement Frances had worked at New Haven Savings Bank for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and most of all her grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held privately by the family.
